Dear Claypit Hill Caregivers,
This week, we had the great pleasure of welcoming next year's kindergarten students and their families to Claypit Hill! These newest Cubs will be the Class of 2039, and we are so excited for the journey that lies ahead. A heartfelt thank you to our PTO and our kindergarten team for helping us create such a warm and welcoming experience for our littlest learners and their caregivers.
We would also like to recognize our outstanding 5th Grade Student Council members, who provided tours for visiting caregivers while our future kindergarteners spent time exploring classrooms and meeting teachers. Their leadership, kindness, and pride in our school were on full display.
Speaking of the PTO, we extend our sincere appreciation to the entire organization, and especially to Heather Grimmett, for organizing another successful Claypit Cares event. This annual expression of our school values reaches a wide range of community members in need, including children in hospitals and animals in shelters. Perhaps most importantly, it teaches our students that their actions can have a direct and meaningful impact on the world around them. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this important effort.
The PTO will host its final meeting of the school year on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM in Room 108. Marie will be on hand to help close out the year and to hear feedback from caregivers based on the recently completed survey. We hope you'll join us.
Thursday promises to be an especially memorable day at Claypit Hill—and perhaps the beginning of a wonderful new tradition! We are thrilled to welcome back our Wayland High School seniors who once walked these halls as Claypit Hill Cubs. Dressed in their graduation regalia, they will return to their old stomping grounds as students, faculty, and staff line the halls to celebrate their accomplishments with a special clap-out parade. We can't wait to honor these graduates and inspire our current students with a glimpse of what lies ahead.

On Friday we’ll host our final BIG All-School Meeting of the year. During this special gathering, 5 Claypit Hill fifth graders will be recognized for their consistent demonstration of our PAWS values. This award honors the memory of Claypit Hill student Eliza Norton, who lived our values with extraordinary heart each and every day. The ceremony is especially meaningful for our fifth graders and serves as a powerful reminder of the character and compassion we strive to cultivate in our school community.
As exciting end-of-year events begin to fill our calendars, please know that teaching and learning remain at the center of our days. Our educators continue to work hard to provide meaningful instruction and engaging learning experiences. We greatly appreciate anything families can do to help maintain routines, support healthy habits, and keep our students grounded and focused on learning during these final weeks of school.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Sincerely,
Marie, Kate and Naomi

Ms. Brigham has challenged us. If we each bring in just ONE box of cereal this month we could collect almost 400 boxes of cereal for My Brother’s Table!
Will you help us?

Claypit Hill collects donations throughout the year to support local families through My Brother’s Table food pantry. Watch for suggested donations each month, and consider picking up a few items to contribute when you’re at the grocery store. There is a donation bin at the Claypit Hill entrance, which is an easy spot for kids or families to drop-off donations as they enter the school.
